Vocational Service Committee

The area of Vocation Service is an avenue of service that allows Rotarian's to share their skills and expertise as business leaders.  Vocational service efforts play a role in the educational community in White Bear Lake Area and Mahtomedi school districts.  The  vocational committee , supporting the 4 Way Test, sponsors a variety of activities and initiatives that help to assist, encourage and engage students and families with education opportunities within the communities we serve.

Camp RYLA in the spring in April each year.

The purpose of Camp RYLA is to strengthen the leadership capabilities of high school students and it is usually in April.

  • Camp RYLA is one of the best opportunities to make a difference in the life of a high school student(s) from our community.
  • Camp RYLA is four days of physical, mental, emotional, and intellectual challenge which brings out the ultimate best in its participants through problem solving, teamwork, and interaction with other outstanding students.
  • Camp RYLA changes lives, enabling students to find their inner strengths, to develop leadership skills, and to learn to work with others in a group to overcome adversity and achieve a common goal.
  • Every year, students continue to tell us that participating in Camp RYLA is one of the best experiences in their high school careers, if not their lives.
