Need clothes, cash and gift cards for Solid Ground. They do important local mission work operating supportive housing in our area, and help many. Their families have clothing needs. How to donate: For adults and youth sizes of all types: New underwear and undershirts and socks of all sizes, and winter warm clothing (coats, boots, etc.) Or, give cash at Rotary meetings or $25- $50 gift cards (or more) to Target or WalMart. World Polio Day is Oct. 24. We will mark the day and its meaning for Rotary International and our club, with updates around the fight to eradicate polio, at our meeting. (Sif Jensen of The Human Library Project will be rescheduled.)

The Rotary Satellite Club of White Bear Lake-Northeast Metro will be holding an open house at 6-7 p.m. Thursday, November 3 at the White Bear Country Inn at 4949 State Highway 61, White Bear Lake, Minnesota. The purpose of the event is to share what the club has been doing since its founding in May 2022 and its unique mission with anyone potentially interested in joining Rotary. It will also be a great opportunity for members of the Rotary Club of White Bear Lake to meet members of the satellite club. Hors-d’oeuvres will be served and there will be a cash bar. The Rotary Satellite Club of White Bear Lake-Northeast Metro meets once per month and is focused on community service. The club shares the values of all other Rotary clubs embedded in the Four-Way Test and Rotary’s motto, Service Above Self. This year there is some road construction on the course.  This is a open course around White Bear Lake. 

Long Sleeve event T-shirt.

This race starts at The Boatworks Commons, (4495 Lake Ave S) on beautiful White Bear Lake.  The course is flat and fast, 5K runs north along the lake to West Park and then back.  The 10K goes south to Cottage Park then North along the lake to Ramsey County Park into the White Bear Lake neighborhood before returning back to Lake Ave, and the Finish at The Boatworks Commons.  The registration includes an event T-Shirt. Rotary Volunteers are at the Start/Finish and on the course supporting the runners.  All of the proceeds of the race go to the Strive Scholarship Inc Fund which is a 501c(3) tax-exempt, non-profit entity.

Please consider joining members of our Rotary Club and members of the White Bear Lake Area League of Women Voters for a private tour of the Hmong Cultural Center and Market in St. Paul. This is a great opportunity to experience the Hmong culture together with friends from White Bear Lake.

Jingle Bear Auction

Donation Now, Auction November 16, 1 p.m. to November 19 8:00 p.m.

As is our annual tradition of supporting the Salvation Army around the holidays, we are scheduled to ring the bell for donations on Saturday, Dec. 03, 2022 from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm.  We will be ringing at: Cub Foods, 1920 Buerkle Rd, White Bear Lake, MN 55110.

Watch for more information, White Bear Lake BEAR’ly Open – Golf on Ice winter fun event. Join us in on February 4 & 5 as we continue our mission to raise money for the White Bear Area Food Shelf on frozen White Bear Lake. A realistic golf course, complete with real pine trees, challenging holes and actual greens with flags make it a great way to have fun, get out of the house, and raise money for The Food Shelf. The Community Dance on Friday night, Feb. 3 will once again feature local favorite the “Wild Cat Combo”, playing the best of classic rock and roll.
