Thinking Like a Hacker in the Age of AI; Richard Thieme

It's that time of year again! We are planning on Bell Ringing to support the Salvation Army. This has been a popular event for our Club, so we have 2 dates committed this year.  The two dates are: Saturday Nov. 15 and Saturday Dec. 6.  On both dates we will ring from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm in 1 hour shifts of 2 Rotarians or friends of Rotary each shift. So grab a friend, rotarian or significant other and spend an hour together for a good cause.

The location is the Cub Foods on Buerkle (1920 Buerkle Road).  You may sign up online using the following link WBL Rotary Annual Bell Ringing, please note that there are two tabs in the spreadsheet to sign up, one for each date.  There will also be a clipboard sign up going around during the next few Rotary meetings.

If you are having trouble signing up online, call me and I will sign you up.

Each time we have done this in the past our bucket raises about $500.00, we thought this year, let's double that amount. Also, you are encouraged to wear holiday gear to help get people in the spirit.  Post your Bell Ringing pictures too!

Gazebo Lighting

Downtown White Bear Lake

4th and Washington Square

The 2nd Annual Gazebo Lighting Ceremony in Downtown WBL is scheduled for Wednesday, November 19. We will be serving fresh hot cider and cookies from our Rotary tent from 5 to 7pm. The countdown led by our Mayor will take place at 6:00, with the lighting of the park. The Gazebo Lighting Ceremony is being held in partnership with Downtown Mainstreet, the WBL Lions, and the City of WBL. There will be lots of fun activities throughout the night, and don't forget to bring the kids and grandkids for photos with Santa.
We will be setting up our tent at 4:00 and start serving at 5:00. We have enough people for set up, but we mostly need as many Rotarians and other citizens as possible to attend between 5 and 7 to help add to the crowd and festive atmosphere. It promises to be a fun night!
