Paul Harris Fellow recognition was created in memory of Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary as a way to show appreciation for contributions to the Foundation's charitable and educational program.

A Paul Harris Fellow is an individual who contributes $1,000 or in whose name that amount is contributed. Every Paul Harris Fellow receives a pin and a certificate when he or she becomes a Fellow. This identifies the Paul Harris Fellow as an advocate of the Foundation's goals of world peace and international understanding.

White Bear Lake Rotary has a goal of $100 donated to foundation per year per member. In 2009 members donated nearly that at $99 per member. The club had 82 members when the information was given. Thirty four active club members are Paul Harris fellows, meaning that they each have contributed $1000 minimum over a period of time. Four members became first time fellow in 2009 and three were recognized for additional donations. In addition three non members received awards for their exemplary support of White Bear Lake Rotary and its mission. 47 of the 79 current club members were donors on February 1, 2010.
