We were fortunate to have a beautiful day for our event, despite the chilly winds at the picnic pavilion! A bald eagle sighting on our walk over was a wonderful and symbolic start, often associated with strength, clarity, and opportunity.

A big thank-you to all our volunteers and partners who made the day such a success! Angela from VLAWMO and Pat from Rotary adapted the Incredible Journey activity to teach students about the water cycle and common pollutants. Jim, Jennifer, Darrel, and Elisa led engaging nature activities, including trail mix, a scavenger hunt, and an educational hike. Emilee and Sahra from H2O for Life, along with Rotarian Mark, brought the Global Water Challenge to life and helped students better understand the global water crisis.

Special thanks to our amazing teachers and assistants for their dedication to empowering students, and to Allison and David for coordinating supplies and the schedule. Finally, thank you to Andy and his City of White Bear Lake staff for maintaining the Rotary Nature Preserve and making sure the restrooms were available. We are grateful to everyone who helped make this a memorable and educational day for the students!
